Sarah Barsness was born and raised in the American West. She calls many places home, including Montana, where she was born, Idaho, where she lived through puberty, Seattle, where she finally grew up, and San Francisco, where she became herself. In recent years, she shocked herself by becoming an avid “birder,” and birds are currently her primary subject. She now lives, teaches, birds, and makes art in Solano County. She is a very fortunate person who has spent her life traveling, teaching, learning, and making art - all with a roof over her head, plenty of food, and the support of loving friends and family.
